Easy OvenFrench Fries

Ingredients:

Olive oil

4 to 5 large baking potatoes (cut into 1/4-inch strips)

½ to 1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 to 2 tablespoons seasoning blend (your choice, we like Montreal Steak Seasoning or garlic powder & salt)

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 450 F. Grease your pan with olive oil or line with parchment paper. Toss the potatoes with about 1 tablespoon of olive oil and seasoning choice.

Arrange the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 20 to 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes so they brown evenly.

Good to Know:

The potato, from the perennial Solanum tuberous, is the world’s 4th largest food crop, following rice, wheat, and maize. The Inca Indians in Peru were the first to cultivate potatoes around 8,000 BC to 5,000 B.C. Potatoes contain most of the vitamins needed for sustenance, and they can be provided to nearly 10 people for each acre of land cultivated.
