Spicy Cheezy Popcorn

We are a popcorn loving family! It’s a cheap and easy to make snack and although I wouldn’t consider it a health food, it does help you get from one healthy meal to the next one and sometimes that is enough, right? So, pop yourself some popcorn and try some of these toppings that were suggested by my family members…

Ingredients:

Popcorn (we use microwave popcorn most of the time, but an air popper occasionally)

Nutritional yeast

Soy sauce (or Tamari or Braggs Aminos)

Vegan Margarine (or coconut oil or olive oil)

Tabasco

Directions:

Once your popcorn is popped, sprinkle or drizzle the ingredients on your popcorn, stir and enjoy! If you have several different ingredients, you may want to mix it all up in a small bowl and then pour over your popcorn for better flavor distribution.

Good to Know:

If you are using microwave popcorn, be sure to buy the one labeled natural and check the ingredients list to make sure it does not contain butter. Don’t beat yourself up about using microwave popcorn. The other healthy choices you are making will more than make up for it. I want you to have a few easy & tasty snack choices that aren’t so labor intensive that you skip them.
